I wear my fleece lined arm warmers when its 65-70 out. Me and cold just dont get along well. What is a good jacket that can last me down to about 30(the absolute lowest i can imagine myself going)? I plan on getting a facecover thing and some warm booties too, as my shoes are very meshy.

I've been thinking about how to respond to this one. My first response was along the lines of "check your pulse", but in all seriousness, it depends on your ride and conditions. Given your location, I can only assume you have a short and/or leisurely ride where you don't generate much heat. If that's the case, normal winter clothing is probably appropriate. If you are truly just cold blooded, the soft shell suggestion from Jarery is a good way to go. Make sure to keep it breathable, or you'll be soaked in sweat.

With layering you use a wicking, long-sleeved inner, a windproof outer and infill with enough insulation to keep you happy. I use thin woolen jumpers.
For a bit of flexability I sometimes put a fleecy sleeveless gillet over the windproof for quick removal.
For 40-60 you need thin leggings and gloves.
For cold weather, get some warm leggings, gloves and a neckwarmer tube.

Sounds like my wife and her family, everyone is cold below 70F. I'm happy cycling in the proper clothing around 0F. Winter and the thermostat are quite interesting in out house.

Personally, I prefer a light shell. Then layer under it with wool or poly layers until you get comfy. At the start you should be a tad cold to keep yourself from over heating when you warm up.

The wicking suggestions that other people suggested are pretty solid. If you are super thin like me, it takes time for your body to learn to 'do cold'. I've been biking for about 5 years and this year is the first time since I was a small child that I could actually wear short sleeves in temps under 75F.

I think as your circulation improves, your body is able to generate and regulate its own heat better.

I find the more time you spend in weather the less it bothers you. Ofcourse you need to wear enough layers to prevent frostbite and hypothermia but most people who live in warm climates or never venture outside in the the winter can survive with much less clothes than they are comfortable with.
My suggestion is to start riding everyday, no matter the weather. Soon you'll find 32F can be a comfortable temp and 50s are shorts weather.
As for a jacket you will want a breathable jacket that blocks the wind. The softshell jackets suggested are excellent choices. I have a Powershield jacket that works well but could be more breathable. If you ride easy then you may perfer better wind resistance and insulation over breathability and more traditional jacket would work well. Still I suggest you keep it on the light side as cycling produces good amounts of heat even at slow speeds.
