Storing winter tires

What do you all do when storing your Nokians for the non winter periods? I could get a few years out of my 294's, and was wondering how to store them. TIA!

I coat my tires with something, wrap them in plastic, and put them in the back of the shed.
What do I coat them with? WD-40, just because it's the closest thing for me to grab.

Just hang 'em up in the garage. Not sure about the WD-40 and plastic, though.

I hang my winter tires in a dark corner of the garage. There has never been a problem with getting a few years out of them.

I have a pair of Nokians permanently installed on my winter bike. I keep it in storage during summer, away from direct sunlight. I don't have exact figures, but my guess is it never gets over +25C in there. Tires seem to be doing OK.

i clean and hang them in my garage... well, i must admit that i actually put old inner tubes in them (slightly inflated) "to make sure they keep their shape". note that this is my personal theory, might actually have more to do with superstitions and waste of rubber...

all that to say that i share rbsrsddn's concerns...
cheers,

Don't put them in an Attic or a place that gets very hot. Don't store them in the sunlight.

I have one bike dedicated to the Nokian studded tires I leave them on. I leave it on the floor all the time. No problems for 5 years yet. I do check and make sure the tires don't get too low.

could also mention, for ViperZ stats, that i lost 1 stud (just the little stud not the bigger thing that's sitting in the tire), on one of my w106 this year. and it's their second year.

0.471 % failure, not bad.

i had lost much more on my first set of nokians.
and my innovas? never lost one they all disapeared (worn out) before i could loose one!

They are easy to replace.

I hang my Nokians up in the garage, away from direct sunlight. They have made it through four seasons this way.

I keep them acclimated over the summer in my chest freezer.
