Ever take you temperature after a long ride?

So today I biked about 10 miles around 1:30 pm to my doctor for a routine physical. It was about 35 degrees, 25 with wind chil,l and some really strong (40 mph gusts) headwinds. After 30 minutes of waiting inside and warming up, they finally took my temperature and it was 96.9. I guess that's to be expected after riding in such temps.

My body temp is routinely 97.3 to 97.5.

Are you saying your body temp has always been much higher when taken under normal circumstances?

Not all humans run at 98.6*. Not all thermometers are accurate. Humans also have a daily cycle with internal temperature. The combination may have been at play. At 96.9 I'd expect you feel damn cold. Did you ride in wearing a Speedo?
