Has anyone tried this one?

Doesn't sound like it's all that warm. But I live in boulder CO, and it doesn't seem to get that cold anymore.?? The real problem is this is the only shoe in the area that I can try on....well actually I can only try on another specialized shoe that i'm told fits the same. ??

Well, I went ahead a got some of these. They don't seem like the warmest option out there, but as I said, they were the only winter shoe in my area. It was funny too, after trying on some of the other regular summer shoes to get a size figured out, I was in the process of getting the special order sent out, when a manager came along, and it turned out that they had the shoe in the correct size from an old special order that wasn't picked up or something. So in the end I did get to try them on before buying them.

Impression thus far is that they don't have a lot of insulation, but they seem very waterproof. I got them a bit big so I can wear one or two socks. With one sock there's still a wiggle room. Not enough to hurt riding function, but enough to make them warmer.

I'll let you know how they work out once winter rolls around and I get to put them to the test.

I bought some of these shoes last year. I really, really like them.

In Seattle, our typical winter day is mid-30's, and wet (either just wet on the road, or light drizzle, or real rain). They are perfect for that kind of weather with a normal sock.

I wore them down to about 25 degrees and found them plenty warm. However, they don't have a ton of insulation, and if you were going to wear them below 20 degrees or so you might need two layers of socks or thick socks.

I found them very waterproof -- I commute daily and would typically wear them in the rain for about 50 to 60 minutes to work and the same back, with no problems w/wet feet. I also worry them on some wet longer weekend rides with no problems...though I never wore them in more than 60 minutes of heavy rain.

The best thing about these is it got me out of wear shoes + booties; it's much simpler and more convenient (and more comfortable) to wear these.

warm is an oversize winter shoe, fat wool sock, and warmer taped to the top of the toes
inside the shoe

or normal shoe, warmer taped to the top of toes, and bootie over that

once the toes are warm you can haz 5 hours in almost any condition except wet
