under armour balaclava

anyone own one that can compare it to cycling-specific balaclavas? is there a difference? I bought an under armour one the other day and realized when I got home that compression fit really means compression fit. I can just imagine how attractive my hair will look when I get to work after half an hour in this thing. however, if this really means more warmth, I can deal with it. the cycling ones I've tried on weren't nearly as tight. do they function just as well without the squashed feeling?
