Studded tire blunders
Note to self: When spinning studded tire to listen for disc break rub, do not set tire down on wood, dinning room floor while the tire is still spinning.

Even concrete suffers from tungsten carbide stud contact. I was lubricating the chain in my garage and set the bike back down on the floor with the wheel still spinning and it gouged out a couple of lines in my cement floor.

Don't get your face to close too a spinning studded tire when checking brake pads for squareness against the rim.

Another note to self: When putting together a pot of coffee, be sure to put the
coffee pot in place in the coffee maker to catch the coffee. I ran off to get a few
things done while the coffee was making and came back to quite a mess. Not as
expensive to clean up though as the first post.
The things that go wrong. (sigh)
