My Nokian M+G's are getting periodontal disease.
Just noticed this today. This is the 3rd winter for these tires. As I was putting the bike on the rack after a ride today I noticed that I'm beginning to see the bases of the studs on their holes. Seems like the studs could easily get torn out of their sockets. Think I could get another winter out of these skins?

Back or front tire? Usually it's the back that goes to seed first.
Maybe you could pick up one new tire next Fall and if it seems like your need it, put the front tire on the back and the new one on the front.

Mine are into their 3rd season and haven't lost one yet but....
They use so much salt on the roads here this season mine is showing some rust. I leave my bike in a bike locker overnight at the train station so I can't easily clean it off. How do you guys deal with this? Let 'em rust!

I just checked yesterday, they look fine. This is my second Winter on them.
What pressures do you guys use? I usually pump mine up to 70 psi and just let them go down over a few weeks.
