Pretending to enjoy it......
These guys would rather be driving mini vans. You're not fooling anyone. We know a grimmace from a smile. From now on, I'm snowshoeing where you can't follow me! Recreational my A$$!

If I had to plow though snow on a daily basis I may have a different take, but during the occasional snowy periods we have near Seattle, I have really enjoyed it. As long as I'm able to keep my hands and feet warm, I'm a happy guy.

I don't have to pretend anything. Sure it may be hard when there is few inches of snow, but I still get a great feeling of personal satisfaction from doing it. You can call me crazy, but I actually enjoy getting outdoors in bad weather and pushing myself . Yes I have a heavily modified 4x4 truck sitting in my parking lot, it will go through anything.. but I never use it for getting to work anymore, I prefer to ride my bikes.

There is nothing that brings me as much present joy as simply riding the bike, and I'm certainly not willing to give that up for as lame a reason as that it's cold and snowy out. Besides, I've really come to love my zubzero midnight rides. It's so quiet. Is it hard? Sure. But part of the joy is in the struggle.
