Scarves for the winter cycling?

I just got a bike this season and boy, winter has come early!

Anyways, I need some advice on the best way to tie a scarf properly for riding. I do not want to buy a tube scarf as I already have a 100% wool scarf that is super warm.

I almost ate ***** the other day, when my scarf came off when I was riding but thanks to my lightning fast reactions, I was able to catch my scarf before gravity took its toll.

Thanks!

You usually put a scarf over your neck and wrap from the back around to the front then tie at the front.
For cycling, start at the front, wrap around to the back and tie at the front.

^That^ I start with the middle on my face, wrap, the ends behind my nexk, and then let them drape over my chest. I then zip up the jacket, and the scarf stays put.

I don't like scarves for cycling or other winter sports ... mainly for exactly the reason you mentioned.

I much prefer this ...

However, if you insist on a scarf, then wear it the way we ladies are wearing them these days. Fold the scarf in half, wrap around neck, and pass the loose ends through the loop. Then you still have to do something with the loose ends.
