I am looking for winter shoe covers. I never had shoe covers, not sure what to look for.

Everyone seems to have neoprene, but what about Louis Garneau Wind Dry? they look lighter, but will it protect as good as neoprene from wind/rain?

They are on sale at Performance bicycle

Lighter than neoprene? The reviews seem to indicate that these may not be waterproof. Probably OK in light rain and short ride.

I've been using neoprene for over twenty years, but I would certainly give these a shot. If you do, please post a review and let us know how well they work. My current neoprene bootie are at least ten years old so I might give them a try as well. Thanks for posting them.

Finally, I was able to test ride.
I started to ride when temperature was around 25 with a little back wind 5-10mph. I have warm Performance pants on, regular cycling socks and wool socks. I have my regular shimano shoes with mesh top. The shoe covers are light and look cool. The first time I noticed some cool in my toes was after 40 minutes ride. But it was not bad at all. I started really feel them only after 2 hrs, but it was a headwind too. At the end of my ride the temperature rose to 30-33 degrees, but when I got back home, my toes were pink and cold.
I believe the shoe covers performed well, however, I am thinking to cover mesh parts of my shoes with duct tape for extra protection next time.

Here is my ride.
