izumi select thermal jersey or elite

I have a pearl izumi select thermal jersey for winter rides. Very nice jersey. With a decent base layer and a shell, I'm good to mid- to low-30s.

I want to get a second long-sleeve thermal jersey. Don't know if it's worth stepping up to the Pearl Izumi elite thermal?

I'd love to hear from anyone who's tried both or has both. Is it worth the higher price? I can't tell from the description on their website what exactly the difference is functionally, other than that the elite is more form fitting, vs. relaxed fit of the select. Would a tighter form fit give me greater protection from the cold?

Thanks in advance,
Tesgin
