I broke my collarbone this summer and by September it felt fine--I was ready to get back on the bike and have managed to ride with no pain. Now, 3 months later it's starting to bother me again (and not on the bike, just during the day). It's not even particularly cold out (although weather has been very changeable from day do day).
Is this weather related?

It may be. I have issues with my knees sometimes when it's cold or depending on the humidity.

Did the xray show that it was healed completely? (i.e. radiographic vs. clinical heal)?

I sometimes wear a messenger bag to work--I know, baaaad idea! I realized that this is stupid--I am starting to wear ir on the other side.
Doctor told me that I probably have a "fibrous union". At any rate, it never hurts on the bike, but it certainly healed oddly.

20 years on the bike, broken collarbone, broken arm, 1 shoulder seperation and 2 discolated shoulders, all these injuries give me trouble in cold weather, not sure of the medical explanation.

It's the change in air pressure as weather systems move in and out. If you're in nice weather(high pressure), body equilibrates and then when bad weather moves in (low pressure), your body is still at higher pressure setting and microscopically expands, which causes joint pain. It's the inner expansion that hurts, not contraction when going from crappy weather to nice. Recent break acts as a joint re pressure response. May take years to go away. I had a skiing rib that bothered me for several years. Broke collar bone 3x as a kid, but no pain as adult. Give it a few years. Also, gives you the benefit of irritating family and co-workers by constantly saying "Feels like rain(snow)", and usually being right.

If it was just strain (bike bag) you would probably feel it riding.

Neat stuff Terex, thanks. I've been able to fairly accurately forecast barometer drops since breaking my leg 15 years ago, although much less painful over the last 3-4 years. I never knew why though.
