Well it's started snowing

The past week or so I have been saying to myself" this might be the last time it's nice" before the snow flies. Well I'm looking out my window and the white stuff is falling

Yup, yesterday was windy but warm. I did a 25 mile loop from my house to and around Cherry Creek Res and fought the wind for 3/4 of the ride but its snowing now and I wish I could go fight the warm wind again!

Yesterday here was a warm 55 degrees with a light but persistent drizzle that started at 3pm right on the dot as the weatherguessers had said it would. Not one to pass up a perfectly good opportunity, I debated only about 3 seconds before deciding to go the long way home and test out my new cape better. I made it from waterproof baby diaper fabric and McCall's 6446.

Worked very well, though I discovered the fatal flaw of a button-up front in regards to a cape meant for rain gear duty. Doh!
I had a wonderful ride.

We almost moved to Denver, partially because we are jealous that you guys actually get snow unlike the springs. Congrats on winter arriving, hopefully we get ours tonight!

That is actually a really good idea. I never would have thought of making stuff from waterproof diaper fabric!

snow on the grass and trees but the streets were clear. Crunch crunch crunch all the way in. Stay off the painted lines.

was that picture taken outside of LaPorte on the Poudre trail bridge over the Poudre river? Looks familiar, I ride that once a week.

Nope, that is the bridge on the Longmont-to-Boulder (Lobo) Regional Trail just before it hits Ogallala Rd (headed south). I love all the bridges and underpasses here, I never want to move again.

three inches of snow in the yard, ice on the road and studs on my tires. it's +20F and my wife commented that we should ride the bikes into town and go out to dinner since it's warm out. love that gal.
