cryogenic gloves
As anyone ever tried cryogenic EN 511 rated gloves as winter gloves?

I've used similar gloves when working with liquid nitrogen. They're not really designed for cold exposure of more than several seconds. They also aren't designed to offer wind protection, which is critical for winter biking. They're designed primarily for people who work around liquid nitrogen and dry ice (CO2) where contact with those chemicals would be brief. Any liquid nitrogen that spills on your gloves will evaporate in seconds. A good pair of oven mitts is almost as useful when working with cold chemicals like these. They wouldn't do you much good as cold weather biking gloves.
