best bicycle trainer?

Looking for a good bicycle trainer. Not looking to spend a lot. Just quality and something that I can use to ride during the cold months.

Ask in the 41. We're likely to tell your to ride the bike on roads, where it belongs, and if you want to spin in place, go to the gym.

Best trainer is an icy car tire rut that punishes you mercilessly for failing to hold your line.

I certainly agree with the above posters and would suggest investing that money into good winter gear because "There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad equipment". But if you must spin indoors anything from these guys is very nice so just pick the one that fits your budget. http://www.cycleops.com/en/products/trainers.html

We got a hardcore rider over here.

I would rather not ride in the pitch black and rain. Being safe is more important to me than looking cool on the internet.

I picked up a cheap magnetic trainer off of craigslist and it has worked great for me

Studded tyres, good lights, fenders and tons of reflective material.

This is my winter trainer. It also happens to be a spin bike. :D
