Yup! All three of us were on single speeds, but he was the only one on 29s. The Surly rider is also running a rigid fork. Of course, you can see what his leg/knee looked like after the ride in the last pic. :)

Here's a better shot of me on my SISS. My bike looks tiny compared to the Surly!

do you guys not get snow very often down there? Just wondering why I'm seeing so many green leaves in some of the pics.

We get plenty of snow - believe me. However, there are many evergreens in the area that we rode, and there was only about 2-5 inches of snow on the ground. It really made for an amazingly beautiful ride. The most difficult part was stopping to snap the pix! :)
