There's one thing I dislike more than people who brag about the snow fall they got this winter, that's people who have to post a picture of it as well. This winter has sucked big green donkey *****, there is very little snow cover, the last warm up has left vast fields of ice under what little snow is there. I have really come to dislike the whole winter idea, and am hoping in a couple years to vacate this weak state for warmer climes. I hope to do it post advanced degree, working towards a phd.
Can I get a phd in cycling?

Maybe we could all send you little baggies of snow to make up for it?

This is only the second significant snowfall of the year for us. For us, the snow that falls in November is usually still there in March, having never melted away. Our Northern NY climate is probably very similar to yours although I think you see a little more snow on average and our temps tend to go low and stick more often.

I should take some shots of my rides in the morning through the snowless fields out there. It is really sad. I love the snow, but this year has been real weak on the snow. It has even been said that our most snowiest month of the year, March, isn't any more, that is saying a lot. I wish I could say that there are signs of spring coming but there, aren't unless you consider a few Cardinals out there on the ride. No Robin's yet. And there is still a lot of ice out there. Seems the sun melts the snow, and the lack of cloud cover allows it to get cold enough to freeze the snow melt into sheets the like of a hockey rink, but not enough to ride with the nokians on the bike.

Then you probably don't want to hear that we're due for another "significant" snowfall the beginning of next week, right?

Snow is great for awhile... but I WANT SPRING!!!! I'm soooo tired of salt all over my bike, of it being so cold and windy that riding sucks, of there being no shoulder on busy roads etc, etc.

Yeah, the wind. I fought it today. A poster here once called the wind a FLA mountain. Pretty good analogy.
