After 2 weeks of decent volume (over 15 hours last week) dialing it down for the rest of the season. Only a month left. Did my usual tuesday hill today, but made it 8' , 4' , 2' , 1', 30" , and 15". Commuted to and from work super easy to stay fresh. Finally got my track wheels rebuilt so I'll race tomorrow night, then take it easy until Saturday's road race.

I found out that 28+ is too fast for one of the corners in last nights club race..nearly ended up in the ditch but was able to save it

3.5-4hrs z1 with 3x15 sweet spot on varying terrain.
I've started huffing Nitrus Oxide. I've been watching a lot of Fast & Furious lately and it struck me that this is the quickest way to add power.

CX practice this morning. Still recovering from a hard block plus VOGP, so I did my hot laps more as lukewarm laps and tried to focus on skills. Also brought along my carbon cross tubulars, glued by yours truly, to get a feel for them and make sure they held up before using them in a race. They feel pretty good, though the braking is weird and different. Not news to anyone else here, I know. Finally starting to feel dialed on my dismounts and remounts, though there's some work to do. Excited for the season.

Trying to decide what to do tonight on the trainer, I did 2:45 Z2 with ~30mins threshold yesterday, planning on doing hills tomorrow (typically 3-5 min efforts at 300w). Was thinking 60min tempo but also thinking recovery or rest to stay fresh for tomorrow

Did my 30/30s this morning, and they didn't go super well. After last week's 1000 TSS (And the week prior's) I have been really unable to hit my targets this week. Gonna see if that turns around when I do my next set on the way home.

I'd say that this is what's known as a "clue." IMO, it's time for an easy day or two.

He's got a major stage race coming up in a little more than a week. I suspect this is the end of a long build in preparation.

did my last skinny tire vo2 hill workout of the year this morning. only fitting that the strava app didn't record my ride and half of it was in the rain. felt really blocked, to be honest. maybe should have done some openers yesterday instead of an easy ride.

Race winning intervals yesterday afternoon. Boy howdy. I guess if they were easy, they wouldn't work.
Tempo 2x30' this morning. Going to keep my tsb negative a little bit longer.

CTL is at an all time high (85), I haven't seen tangible improvement but it is evident. Too many group rides / wheelsucking to really gauge.
I'm not too sure what I'll do with it, but its either going to be Everest Challenge or a series of off season crits (or both). The regular season was comically bad with poorly timed injuries, crashes, etc so I'm hoping to put that past me with some good efforts in the next few months.

Continuing my recent regimen of staining t-shirts with occasional explosive intervals of cursing when I try to use my right arm. On track for zero TSS for the week.
Things are generally healing up. I am a bit concerned about the fact that I can only see about 3 stitch knots due to skin growth and I think they put in 8 or so, but I guess we'll cross that bridge next week when they have to come out.

Now that racing is over for the year I'm hitting all time high 5 second sprint power #'s. Finally got into the "cat 4" territory on the training peaks chart tonight. Now if only I could get my 1 minute power into the cat 5 region.

Intervals went really well tonight. The nitrus huffing appears to be working.
@globecanvas I rode up into the gunks hoping I might bump into you and/or the depot guys. Sorry your arm is being a mother****er.
