The White walls were actually a mistake... I had intended on ordering the Black Rubino Pro's with the White stripes, but ordered the Full White on accident. They are, though, staying surprisingly White.

It's only a Campy crankset. Everything else is Force (except the shifters, obviously). It's working quite well. Having done Shimano shifters w/ Shimano FD/Crank, then Red Shifters with DA FD/Crank, and now this (Red Shifters with Force FD and Chorus Crank), I think this shifts faster and better under load than anything else.

Soooo... Yay, Force FD and Chorus cranks/rings!

So after my bad experience with your Red FD, I've been very happy with my Red shifters and Force FD. And now I have SRAM powerglide chainrings it shifts even better than the s-works chainrings.

I've been running a Red FD for a bit, what's the problem?

For me, flexible FD + flexible chainrings + flexible brazeon clamp adapter = no shifty

oh. i don't think I generate enough power to flex anything.

At any rate I'm using FSA Super chainrings, which I believe have a reputation for being stiff.

Oh, trust me, I'm no mr. powerful. There was too much flex between the clamp and the the FD to move the chain up. The Force FD is stiffer which helped. The PowerGlide chainrings I think are just ramped & pinned better than the s-works chainrings.

when you switched in the srm, did you adjust the fd? (now that i think about it, i have a vague memory of you having qrings which may explain what i am seeing.) the fd looks awfully high in those pictures. here is a pic for reference. i think the sram manual says 1-3mm spacing between the chainring and the fd. if you had q rings before, that probably explains why the fd is too high now since you had to have the 1-3mm spacing at the highest point of the chainring.

here, page 10 for more about it.

I take the Q-Rings off in the winter.

I did move the FD down, but the big ring started rubbing a black plastic piece at the end of the FD arm so I moved it back up a bit. It shifts perfectly and doesn't rub anywhere so I'm not gonna mess with it.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Paves. My next tire will be the Paves or the Ultremos. Although you can get the Paves for 28 bucks right now which is darn cheap.
