Tree Fort Bikes online for the crank. Just under $400 = ouch.

Yeah, the accents are pink. I'm trying it... See how it goes.

I like the accents personally! I am looking at a Tarmac for the first time ever really, because the geometry looks about right for me. It's looking like my next bike will be a TCR in XL, a Tarmac in 61cm or a CAAD9 in 63cm. I need a long top tube, and the 600 TT on the Tarmac looks good.

Just out of curiosity- why do you need two of the same bike?

I justified it by the fact that I was without a road bike for ~2 months this year because of stuff being broken. I'm 99% sure I'm going to sell the White/Pink one (OK, without the Pink maybe) in the next week or so.

How do like the BB30 red crank. I am thinking about throwing on some DA chainrings on my specialized crank and looking into other options out there. Are you a big fan of the BB30?...how much better do you think it is?

15.72 lbs. at 60cm. Not too bad for a 'big' bike. Doesn't help me win yet though
Looking ahead to next season!

I love seeing cross tires on deep carbon rims. It's actually pretty funny that as much as people make a big deal about weight in a road bike, it probably matters more for a cross bike.

I don't race cross, so I'm just going off hearing all my friends talk about the weight of their cross bikes. Are the carbon rims more comfortable/easier to handle over the rough terrain?

^^^^^ Yea, it's more for performance in sand and mud. But, the stiffness and ligtweigh make a difference too. Less weight to be constantly picking up and carrying on barriers and run ups... and less weight to bring back up to speed with all of the constant accelerations.

Oh yea.... they look bas@ss too

Zipps + Dugasts (?) = Jealousy

If it's a dry 'cross race with no slop, I usually rock my other wheels. Carbon braking surfaces blow.
