middle shot looks like a nice position.

as for "too low".... there's a point where lower is not more aero, or higher IS more aero. impossible to say without testing (lots you can do in the field). only you can really assess whether the position is rideable and whether power losses are offset by aero gains.

adaptation can take a long while, or never.

on the face of it, the picture looks REALLY good.

It's just next in my line of tweaks. I think the hip angle is too much. Not adapting to it. Up a CM might help.

My downhill leg was pretty solid, so I think I'm a bit more aero, but giving up too much power. Maybe. I just like to tweak, placebo hope.

My hairy legs and short socks are back in action. This is as I crossed the line last night in our local Tuesday night race series. Pipped for 4th by a few inches, forgot that the line comes a tiny bit later than I expected. First time I've gotten my HR above 190 this year, though. Blurry pic thanks to my teammate's wife playing with the shutter speed.

Just found this pic of my time trial a few weeks ago. Position looked alright in my bathroom mirror, but here it looks like I'm not low enough. Too bad I already have a -40 stem and can't go any lower on this bike.

You are riding uphill slightly that will make your position look higher than it is. However, your head is up and your saddle may be a tad too low. It is hard to tell from the pick about the saddle. You could try a longer stem that may allow more forward rotation.

I do think my saddle was a bit low. I forgot to raise it when I moved it forward and that was the terrible result lol.

That fit is so horrendous you should seriously consider starting over from scratch. Everything should be on the table including a different frame. You may never get that one to fit well.

Not sure of relative speeds but a bike throw could have helped if speeds were similar. If you don't practice them they can come in handy, even if it's for a 4th. It's always nice to get a place due to a bike throw.

Easy...he is recovering from a broken collarbone and we do not want him to now go to mental rehab.

Ok. In that case I recommend a set of 808FC because we know that will make him faster.

Haha! I was thinking Flo wheels are more in my price range... but now that I saw that pic I'm thinking wheels would be a relatively minor improvement. Actually now I'm thinking a decent fit would get me a podium or win even without wheels helmet or skin suit!
