Awful picture of me at a local TT, won the road bike no aero bar classification.
After I let the field go in the last lap of a crit last weekend. Didn't hear the bell and the lap counter was malfunctioning throughout the race, thought I had more time to catch back on.
Credit both to friends at the race

here is me attempting (key word) to a group of 6 up the road in saturday's crit. made an a big 2 minute effort which proved to be futile.... i scuttled back to the main pack and as other teams got anxious they picked up the remnants of the break into the last corner. I lacked the courage , despite being in a great position into the last turn, to make it count , but 7th for me. IGDA WARNER for the photos. I dont exactly have that killer crit mentality. legs felt good though heading into the 2nd half of my season, so that's a plus.

Not a race. TKP had hammered up this 30 minute hill because of coaches, but we had given him bad directions at the bottom so we waited halfway up thinking he was lost below us and then he eventually rode down to us and then back up. So this is his 2nd time up the climb, presumably suffering.

I think that is the prettiest climb in the North East. In the fall it's even prettier, like to the point where it's almost too distracting to descend down that side.

You sure that's not norcal? Does the northeast icecap go away in june?
Anyway, not buying this even if I did pay for digital media cuz that horrible face. But if you follow the link you will see the sufferiest race face ever.

Apparently TKP has the Richie Porte pain face, he just smiles.
Also he makes me jelly of the awesome rides he goes on. That really is quite beautiful.

Tues Night Worlds, Bs. I got shelled last week. This week was a lot better although I feel like I'm running a restrictor plate engine in an otherwise open field, I couldn't go with any of the surges. Last lap I decided to lead out whoever, to the point I yelled at guys to get on my wheel, tapped my hip, everything. One non-teammate guy realized what was up and quickly got on my wheel, his biggest effort of the race; he'd win by a clear margin as we gapped off the field. It was his first race in 2 years. Of course at the same time my teammate thought I wanted a leadout, so he got past me to lead me out. So he led me out leading the field out. We both sat up about 100m from the line.
Leadout recipient reaping the benefits. Note the gap to the next wheel.
Not suffering apparently.

Man that's sweet. It would be 100 miles to do that from/to Tannersville, but I still might end up doing it the last day of our vacation. And go up the kitchen at the end of the ride. Any other suggestions for routes?

Do that, and keep going over the top and descend down the other side. The view is just as dramatic as the photo GC posted, except it's in a fairly narrow valley so it feels like you're riding toward a 1500ft tall tree wall.

Johnson City Omnium, Criterium. Women P12 (with W3). I wouldn't exactly call it 'suffering,' since I'm on the attack here stringing out the field But you can see the blood on my knee and torn jersey shoulder.
