that kid delayed my c1 by stealing all the time bonus primes from me at San Dimas last year, if it's who I think it is.

Same race as @mattm (Lodi P12) ... I call this "the beginning of the end". Note the lack of riders behind me and the grimaces on the faces of the riders that are behind me. We're fried. Also, note the moto ref just about to come around the corner to tell us our day is done. I think we held out for a few more laps, but got popped about 60 minutes into a 65 minute crit. Ugh .. photo by @acaurora / Alex Chiu.

Awesome thanks dude! I was meaning to ask about those..

He got a shot of the beginning of the last lap, just before I got crashed out. Ah, memories.

He got no good shots of me.

In the photo of us at the starting line, if you look closely, you can see the top of my helmet and a piece of my jersey in between the guys being called up.

In the shot of the guys at the wheel pit, I was behind the car.

And then I can be seen in the background on the sideline watching the finish of the crit.

Ugh ... hatin' life in the local TT. Pic by Katie Truong.

Also, comments on position? I don't TT often, so I don't work the position a ton.

Is that a body paint suit?
From (as you know) a non-racer view who goes to lots of fittings...
You seem within normal position parameters. Things I notice.
-You are farther forward than many. Is saddle tip 5cm back from BB. Maybe you slide forward well.
-Your neck is not "turtled". So the new thing is to tuck head into body (shrug) and bring shoulders forward.

Thanks ... yes, that is a body paint. Snug as can be.

Not sure on the saddle measurement relative to the BB. It's just where I was fit to. Might be that I am sliding up too much. I've tried to be conscientious about the turtling thing, but damn it isn't too comfortable.

Daniel worked on the turtle thing a lot for the Merckx and got it down - and I think it helped, but it did not translate to the TT bike. As the TT bike won't be used much anymore (college likes Merckx) not going to worry about it.
I think the turtle may be easier if the arms are a bit wider. Sky says arms together not needed. I tend to like your position as it rolls the shoulders down. Daniel is very wide shoulder, so we have his arms together too, but that hurts the turtle on the TT bike.
The saddle thing is interesting as it only matters if you ever see yourself doing a UCI event (Masters Worlds qualifier) they will measure.

The only "big" TT on my calendar is the cat 2 event at Cascade. After that, I may do a local TT here and there or I just may never ride that bike again. UCI anything is definitely not on my radar

Not a great picture to judge, better to see the pedals at top and bottom with the shot showing the top stroke. Actually video from the side and front are best for analysis. But based on this pic you need to drop the front a fair bit to get rid of some of the "sit up and beg". There's likely a lot more there that needs tweaking, but that's square one.

(shudder)

Sorry, no offense but there's a lot wrong here.

Start point: Raise that seat up. And please tell me that's not a tail light.

non-taken..

Seat got raised as well.
Tail light was because I didn't drive to the event.. I rode and forgot to take it off. Atleast I removed the can of spray glue attached to my tri-bars

Cascade P1 - was UCI bikes. They weigh'd them but did not jig them. No idea why.

Thanks ... lower was my initial thought as well. Stem is already slammed down, so I may need to grab a -17 as well as remove whatever spacer from beneath the pads, too. I'm sure there are plenty of other things to fix in there, but lower is a start

Externally hosted is the way I've gone for a while. Upload to flickr, then use BBCode.
