Tour of Flanders '08!!!

De Ronde van Vlaanderen is my favorite race of the year by far. The wife and I have a party every year for racing friends. Pomme frites w/ mayo, steamed mussels and Belgie bier.

Picking Boonen. He's been somewhat quiet lately on purpose.

My favorite race too.

I'm glad to see Versus decided to cover it, even if it's not live. When their early schedule came out, De Ronde wasn't on the list.

I'll say Cancellara.
And Hoste for 2nd!

The Unibet odds:
Win (1-3)
Boonen, T 4.5 1.6
Cancellara, F 5 2
Ballan, A 10 3.25
Hoste, L 10 3.25
Pozzato, F 12 4
Steegmans, G 20 6.25
Nuyens, N 20 6.25
Devolder, S 20 6.25
Gilbert, P 20 6.25
Vaitkus, T 25 7
Hushovd, T 30 9
Kroon, K 30 9
Flecha Giannoni, J-A 35 10
Klier, A 35 10
Gusev, V 35 10
O'Grady, Stuart 40 11
Gardeyn, G 40 11
Hincapie, G 50 12.5
Zabel, E 60 15
Chavanel, Sylvain 60 15
Ivanov, S 80 25
Hammond, R 100 25
Guesdon, F 125 30
Arvesen, K-A 125 30
Backstedt, M 125 30

If someone ever said that sort of thing to me in a bike race, I'd break at least one nose among the offending parties.

You don't say that sort of sh1t.

Delirium Tremens or Maredsous 10 for the beers.

I want Boonen to win, but Quickstep has been "Eh". Not sure who to pick.

I wouldn't consider it a "breakout", seeing how he has been a pro since '94 and won numerous races of stature, but it sure would be fantastic to see him get one of the monuments.

Not in Flanders he didn't. Hincapie's best was winning the field sprint for third, over a minute behind winnaar Boonen.
