I don't know that coyotes and sheep overlap too much. Coyote - chicken : wolf - sheep.

But yeah, I finally cracked last night and ate about 5000kcal of cookies and chocolate and all the ****. Damnit! Feeling that it was inevitable was my first mistake.

Does anyone have a good recommendation on affordable protein powder? Not looking for ridiculous GNC "get bigger" stuff. Just something with no artificial sweetners that can be had affordably.

in the rural towns of the pyrenees, there's a lot of hatred toward bears that it's comical. you could snap your fingers and get their sheep to run over a cliff.

Xmas eve we cooked 3 turkeys for the local homeless shelter. Xmas day I smoked 3 ducks. Boxing Day we made duck lo mien with the left overs. Today I am cooking a chicken and just started marinading jerked chicken for either Sunday or Monday dinner.

That is a lot of birds.

Somehow my parrot is calm about this.

Does anyone have recommendations for a good blender/food processor combo?
I have an old Oster blender that doesn't work well...it blends everything at the bottom then I have to keep stopping to mix it, then turn on again. I also have a small food processor that is good for about 2 cups worth of chopping stuff.
I'm going to use it for smoothies, dicing veggies & fruits, pizza dough...I'm not much of a chef. I don't need to juice things...I tried the whole juicing thing last year but it's too much work.
I like the look of the Ninja Master prep but was wondering if anyone had a different brand they like?

Dinner:

Jerk chicken (made my own marinade and let it work for two days on legs and thighs)
Cilanto infused rice (cilantro, scallions, onion, jalapeno peppers, lime juice and olive oil pureed in a Cuisinart mixed into jasmati rice)
Fried ripe plantains (maduros)
Collard greens (no callaloo to be found)

Not the healthiest meal, but really nice to eat. Yum.

I have a magic bullet I got in 08' that still works and does a good job for my purposes. My wife uses a Cuisinart food processor for everything else though.

Speaking of food lists,
When my wife lists all her food for the day, I like to follow by reciting my mile long list, ending with "and I'm still in an 1800 calorie debt."

Idk, but after a year of cycling I still get a good kick out of saying "oh, I burned 3500 calories during my morning workout."

Our parrots (3 and soon to be 4) did not mind that we cooked duck for Christmas and my male Ringneck always wants to try anything I am eating so I gave him some spinach stuffing instead.

I often roast eggshells to mix with their food... the female Ringneck loves these and the boys like to crunch them up and this is a good source of calcium for them... they do not have to know where it came from.

Holiday season is over. Need to lose about 10 pounds of the excess new weight that I found in December by the first real race on Jan 25.

Yeah, but I am a proud practitioner of reading comprehension and basic math. I thought Fat Boy was pretty clear. And finally, it is not impossible to burn a lb of calories, but not during a morning workout. Unless your morning workouts are 200km long.

that's quite a large kj expenditure. That's a solid 4 hour ride for me. (250 watts for 4 hours is about 3600).

Christmas day I weighed 159; this was right after a long ride so some of that was due to dehydration. Two days later I was 172! Right now I'm somewhere in the middle. Some of the weight gain was from eating ham (high sodium) while dehydrated and drinking a ton of liquids. Never had a 13 pound swing, and that was far from one of my worst binges.

Why is it that the calorie estimator on Garmin is always like half of my total kj for the ride? Yesterday's kj would like 4500 over just under 4 hours, and calories were estimated at like 2200. Riddle me that Batman
