it's not. The answer is it all matters. But that may not be the question.

Without unlimited funds and/or time the question would be where to allocate resources to get the most from them. The subset questions are how much this matters to you and what you might trade for success.

I have since decided to stick with this bike for a few more years at least. I am in a local cycling club with some pretty elite racers. A few guys who are pretty damn good have taken me under their wing to help improve my cycling. They haven't commented on my bike positioning, but I could solicit for that advice.

I have thought about getting a front wheel to match the back. I suppose that would be more sensible for the time being. There doesn't appear to be much wrong with the wrong wheel, if anything at all, which is why I have stuck with the original front.
I'd definitely do that. I avoided commenting on a friend's position until he asked me about it. Then we went to town.
