I personally just don't like the looks of bar end shifters....and I'm usually on the hoods or tops anyway...
The moustache bars look great with the bar ends, though......imho
I've only got one bike with downtube shifters, an old Paramount...and I like that classic look...although it doesn't fit with my type of riding, it does look good....
