Cars Banned At W's Ranch?

https://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050816/...e_us/peace_mom

By ANGELA K. BROWN, Associated Press Writer 35 minutes ago

WACO, Texas - Some of President Bush's neighbors asked county leaders Tuesday to prevent large gatherings near the Crawford ranch like the ongoing anti-war protest led by a mother of a soldier who died in
Iraq.

Several residents have complained of blocked roads and traffic jams in the last week since dozens of people joined Cindy Sheehan's protest by pitching tents off the winding, two-lane road leading to Bush's ranch.

The petition with more than 60 signatures was submitted to the McLennan County commission, asking the board to expand a no-parking zone that now bans cars within a few hundred feet of the ranch.

Right, so does this mean that folks can park elsewhere and walk or ride bikes to the protest?

Seems this would not prevent large gatherings, only large gatherings of cars.
But I suppose liberals are just as car-dependent as anyone.

As evidenced by an incident on a Berkeley Critical mass ride I was on where an irate motorist was screaming, "I'm a liberal, I'm a liberal, get out of my way".

this is going to end up in the P&R forum for sure. before that happens though, i'll ask the question: what does this have to do with liberals? only liberals are against the war, or protest??

That's exactly correct. It's not what you *think* it's what you *do* - and anyone, no matter how conservative, who disagrees with the President on anything whatsoever is a liberal flip-flopping moonbat.

It doesn't matter -- the commissioners court has scheduled a hearing in 30 days and a neighbor (and veteran) has offered the use of an acre of his land across from *'s church. But the protesters have discussed what they can do to impose less on nearby residents. https://www.truthout.org/cindy.shtml
