that sucks. I don't know the road but the speed limit was 55 and there was lots of fog? doesn't sound like someplace i'd like to be riding.

also scary that the driver didn't even stop and claims they thought they "hit a deer"..

Another case of motorists driving too fast for the conditions, where the cyclist was hit twice, with the second collision being the fatal one.

I hope this isn't relevant to this, but Lake county is usually referred to as the parolee county around here.. a lot of people live there simply because they can't afford to live anywhere else so a lot of tweakers, drunks, ex cons, etc..

Aimee C. Hubbard, 25, is a piece of ****. My guess is that she'll be driving again in a few years.

This is so horrible, having survived the first hit then being run over while trying to stand up! In other words, fully conscious of the second, fatal run-over!

I've hit two deer in my life and been in a big truck that's hit a little fawn. Every time, I've gotten out of the vehicle to assess the situation. I think the only time you would hit a deer and then not stop is when you know you've hit a cyclist and want to use "deer" as an excuse.

A problem that is added to by the enormous mercury content of the water, no doubt. Like dead-end drive-in, there's no way out.

And those are my least favorite vehicles in terms of likelihood of attacking a cyclist: Suburban and Pius.

whether she thinks she hit a deer or not, she hit something and continued to go on, thats leaving the scene of an accident and hit and run. The only time I wouldn't stop is if it was a squirrel or something small that I knew for sure what I hit.

There aren't a lot of options for roads around there.
