I'm going to assume you are in Alabama USA? If so, crossing a street and closing the distance on someone could get them shot. No? A lot of that elevating agression around here has stopped because so many ppl cary a side arms and the law favors the defender, although it does take on tones of gray when both parties are cursing each other and elevating the situation.
I do try (I said try) to always take the high ground. If you ride a bicycle on the road you WILL be shouted at, sometimes by other cyclist!

To everyone else who has replied, pretty much nothing else has came of it, and it's pretty much in the past for me and the wife now. No more troubles since then. Cheers!

No offense, but this is your first harassment? I brush hillfolks yelling at me like nothing anymore.
This labor day weekend I had a bottle thrown at me, and a asswipe trying to hit me in his little KIA for riding 25 MPH in a narrow urban road that was posted at 25MPH with SHARROWS. And I live in a city that is becoming a more bike friendly city by the year. I wish I could go one week without having to deal with this **** for just riding legally.

Yep, just a few miles below you. Interesting, in that I do have my ****** permit, and usually have it in the car with me, but alas, not on the bike. Even if I had, it wasn't yet a situation where it would have been necessary.

It's good to know you haven't had any more issues and have put it in the past.
