Classic & Vintage - Info on Clark Kent bicycles?

Anybody know where I can find info on Clark Kent mtn bikes? I've googled, searched the forum, tried Sheldon Brown's site all to no avail. I would like to understand a bit about the company, how good the frames were/are. I'm particularly interested in the aluminum stuff since tha't what I have. I know the shop was in Denver and so there may be someone around who worked there or knows someone who did etc...

I know a little about Clark Kent via their road and triathlon frames. The frames were built by Pat Clark and Dean Kent starting in 1989. Clark was part owner of Denver Spoke. I believe they actually operated out of Denver Mountain Bike Specialists which was one of the Denver Spoke shops. Alexi Grewal competed on their road frames in the early 1990s.

Clark Kent didn't make any aluminum frames. They were either chrome-moly, titanium or some trick stuff Pat got that was suppose to be used in Europe but wasn't that good.. If you have a C-K 'aluminum' frame, I'd like to know the number stamped on the bottom of the bottom bracket shell..?

My friends dad has one in his garage rafters (titanium mtb). He said the first one snapped at the seatpost join, prehaps from the flex caused by using V-brakes, so he got another one built but this time with curvey seat stays. I should take a closer look at it next time.

Unfortunately his dad had a garage clean out a few years ago and threw his old bikes away, all thats left thats vintage are many pairs of mavic wheels in the rafters and a fair few spare parts boxes.

I know of one in a junk shop here in Denver. The owner has this thing for building up vintage mountain bikes...not sure of the year, model, or price, but I can check on it and post it. I'm not sure if that violates the terms of agreement or not. Guess there is one way to find out...

Here are a few pics of a couple of Clark Kent road bikes if anyone is interested. The Europa originally had a Dura ace 7400 grupo with a down tube shifter and a bar end shifter (and a 55t/42t crankset). I want to learn how bikes work so I built on the tri-ax-26 frame with lots of help. Both are steel.
