Frame crack or paint crack?

Does this spot under the BB on my Orbea cross bike look like a frame crack? I've noticed some creaking in my left pedal stroke, so I thought this could be causing it. The paint is pretty thick however, so possibly it's just the paint?

You have the frame, right? Scrape the paint off and see. (Stand by for guesswork.)

I scraped a little paint off and it looks like it was just a scrape in the paint. Problem solved.
