Post Mount Disc Brake Fork w. 160mm Rotor

Hello,

I am currently running an IS disc fork and I have to run an adapter to work with my Shimano mechanical disc calipers. I plan on changing the fork out with one with a post mount and I was wondering if I would need a spacer to work with my 160mm rotor? If so can someone point me to some spacers as all I can find are IS to Post Mount adapters.

Thanks.

Post mounts come in different sizes, whether you need an adapter will depend on what size post mounts the fork has.

160mm post mounts = no adapter, direct attachment
140mm post mounts = 20mm post mount adapter

A 20mm post mount adapter is usually called a 180mm post mount adapter but this is only a 180mm adapter when used on 160mm post mounts, when it's used on 140mm post mounts it's a 160mm adapter and when used on 180mm post mounts it's a 200mm adapter.

To see what a 20mm post mount adapter looks like google: Shimano SM-MA-F180P/P2
