Where to find bar-mounted non-index FD lever

I want to get a front deraiilleur lever that is not index, so that I can adjust the FD position to remove chain rub, regardless of what chainring and rear sprocket combination is being employed in my 3 x 8 drive train. This could be achieved by an old-style friction shifter on the down tube, but I prefer a handlebar-mounted shifter, for convenience and because I doubt that the bracket on traditional friction shifters would fit the large-section, squareish down tube on my hybrid commuter bike.

I remember having had bikes in the past with bar-mounted non-index front shifters. They were rotary and had click positions, but finely spaced so that quite fine adjustment of FD position was possible. I've been looking on PBK and Wiggle but couldn't find anything like what I remember.

Can anybody suggest where I might be able to buy such a FD lever?

Thank you

Consider these: AUDAX ? Shifting Systems with Friction Shifters or without Shift Levers included. | Gevenalle

Or these Dia-Compe ENE Down Tube Shifters
and these: VO Thumb Shifter Mounts

As far as I know, all bar end shifters have non-indexed front shifters.
