Measuring a Y frame?

I know this sounds like a dumb rookie question, but how would I go about measuring a Y frame bike? I never really knew how to do this Thanks in advance for any responses.

There is so much standover height that it is irrelevant to fit.
Measure horizontally from the centre of the head-tube to the centre of the seatpost. You can compare this "effective top tube length" with other bikes. The reach of a bike is always more critical than the amount of exposed seatpost.
