SRAM Cassette Question
I have a cross bike running SRAM Force 1 1x 11 speed system. It has a road driver with a 11x36 cassette. I want to drop a 10x42 mtb cassette on it. Am I correct to think all I have to do is get a new MTB driver and replace the road driver with the MTB driver?

ok... the present 11 sp. shifter will not work well with the 10 sp. cassette(possible mismatch of pull ratios, plus that extra click), and you will need a spacer to fill the extra space that will be present on the freehub.
and the 11 sp. chain will be an issue also... they are usually narrower than the 10 sp. chains.

I assume OP means an 11-spd cassette that needs the XD driver for the 10 cog, assuming an XD driver is available for his rear hub.
