Rebuilding older Marzocchi fork

My 2001-ish Marzocchi z-4 suspension fork from my mtn bike has a blown seal on one of the legs. What all am I looking at to rebuild it. Anyone have any advice on a fork rebuild like this? Also, what type of juice goes in the thing?

Gracias, folks.

seal kit
https://www.enduroforkseals.com/id50.html
7.5 wt. Suspension oil
1.5 and 2mm hex wrenches
small flathead screwdriver
large flathead screwdriver
3/8" ratchet wrench
15 and 21mm socket and 3"extension

I could write down the instructions for you, but I think that it would be best to get the seal kit or have your LBS order it and have them replace it. It can be messy and it should really be done by a professional.

Good luck,
Rob

I rebuilt my '99 Z-5 a couple years ago. It wasn't really all that difficult. You just have to be very careful not to damage any of the parts when you're disassembling the fork.

Marzocchi has all their manuals available on their website. The manual for the '99 Z-5 had complete rebuild instructions in it that I used. It appears that the '01 Z-4 doesn't have that much detail. Perhaps the procedures for both forks are quite similar?

It is best to have the removal and install tools, otherwise you can screw up the sliders or the seals.
