$10 tour de france
Is there anything on a tour de france bike that costs less than
10bucks. Do they use $4 tubes or even $9 handlebar tape?
It came up when I saw handlebar tape that cost 40bucks.

$40 handlebar tape!!!! I thought I spent alot on the $15 faux CF tape I used on my one bike.
I would suspect the nipples on the wheels.. ummmmmm.. water bottles maybe.. maybe one sock.

Do you mean cost if you buy it or the cost for the team?
If I'm not mistaken (and I may very well be) teams at that level of competition have their equipment provided by the team's sponsors.
BTW, replacement spokes for the Ksyrium SSC wheels go for about $5 each.

Well, the bottles are the same ones you can buy for under a ten spot. Maybe the cable housing that runs into the rear derailleur. Oh, I got it, the cable ends and ferrules. Those are cheap everywhere.

Ti Spokes can go for up to $1.75 per spoke. Bladed Ti Spokes will go for around $3.00 per spoke. The spokes for Spinergy wheels (the thick ass fiberglass spokes) are usually $5 to $7 bucks.
