Profile Design Century aero bar pad shift?
Hey!
I bought a set of Profile Design Century aerobars off of a person on craigslist for 20$. I wanted a set, and found a nice set on the cheap.
The original owner was a lady, so the pads are set a little too close together for a broader chested fellow. I can shift 'em out... somehow.
It looks like the only way to do it is to tear off the pad. Is that what you're supposed to do? I'm just a little hesitant in case I tear the pad by accident. Is there something simple I'm missing?
Thanks!

You don't have to tear off the foam pads. There is a hole in the middle of each pad (it might be hidden in one of the folds but it's there) that you can stick a 4 mm allen key down into. There is a bolt at the bottom of the hole that fastens the arm rest to the bracket. Loosen the bolt with the allen key, remove and reposition the arm rest and tighten it in place.
BTW, after you remove and reposition the pads, cover the holes with small pieces of electrical tape. That keeps sweat fron dripping down inside and rusting the bolts.

oh okay, i see the hole now. Thanks a lot! The original owner put a tiny slit in there that I couldn't distinguish from the rest of the wear.
it's 5mm, not 4 (just in case anyone checks the thread for reference!)
thanks again!
