Campy ud compatability with non ud drivetrain

Hey

I need a 9 spd campy cassette and by far my cheapest option is a 9 spd mirage ultra drive cassette on ebay. Are these compatible with non ultra drive drive trains? Even if its not ideal will it be possible to make it work?

Thanks

Ultradrive cogs work best with flush pin chains rather than the older protruding pin chains. I can only assume that the latest Campy 9 chains are now of the flush pin design, like all 10/11 speed chains.

so if I threw a ud cassette on a drivetrain with a non ud crank but used a flush pin chain there shouldn't be any problems?

I don't think that the chainrings will be a problem.
