Spoke length question.

I'm building (or more likely having built by someone else) a new rear wheel. I measured everything and used a spoke length calculator but I wondered if someone else had built this particular wheel and could tell me if these lengths sound correct.

The rim is a Sun Rhyno Lite 26" 36 hole.

After using several measuring techniques I believe the ERD is ≈545mm.

The hub is a Deore XT Disc (36 hole) hub.

Spokes = 18 [each side]
Cross = 3
Width Center-to-Left = 32mm
Width Center-to-Right = 18.5mm
Left Flange = 61mm
Right Flange = 61mm
Spoke holes = 2.6mm

Based on SpokeCalc I'll be looking at:

Left Spoke Length of 289.4 (290mm rounded up)
Right Spoke Length of 288.3 (289mm rounded up)

Since this is not an uncommon wheel to build I wondered if anyone had ever built this combo before and happened to mark down in their wheel building notebook what size spokes they used? (anything even remotely close to what I'm looking at there?)

I also wondered if it is common for the two spoke lengths to be within one millimeter of each other on a dished [disc] rear wheel?

Any help you experienced wheel builders care to offer will be much appreciated.

Hell. I'm confused.

I used a different calculator and I'm getting lengths of 259.3 and 258.0

These sound a little better since I used 292mm spokes on a 36 hole front hub with an identical flange width laced to a 700c (Sun CR-18) rim and this hub is being laced to a 26" rim.

ERD = 547 min / 548 max

If using 548 - make sure to round down results.

Those numbers are more believable for a 26" wheel. I have done that exact build, but I'm not where I can look for the numbers.
Sun rims are variable on ERD in my experience. Best to measure.

I get 259 and 258 using Rinard's spoke calc.

Using ERD = 548 and rounding down...

261.0558 @ 261.00
259.7518 @ 259.50

=8-)

...everytime I've measured a Rhyno Lite 26" w/ single eyelets I've gotten 547 and 548 aiming for the nipple flats. Never anything less than 547. 547 is what I keep in my ERD binder.

Sounds too long. Probably 265/260 will work.
