Raleigh Record Ace
I picked up a Record Ace at a yard sale a couple of weeks ago. It's in what I think fairly good condition. No rust, paint is in great shape and it rode very well. The stickers say it's made in England and it has a tour de france sticker too. The owner had put a different handlebar on it. It's not a straight bar but it rises just a little. It's a really nice little bike. I was going to flip but I really like riding it.
I put a few miles on it today and, wouldnt ya know it, the rear derailleur cable broke. When I was putting it in the basement I noticed one of the rear spokes was broken at the hub. Does anyone know if parts are available and where can I get the parts to fix it? Is it worth fixing it? I'd also like to replace the brake pads as they screech under a lot of pressure.
Thanks!

Definitely fixable, but you made a mistake in riding it before you got into the bearings to see if there's any lubrication left. After a few decades grease starts looking like ambergris. You're probably okay but check before riding again.
