Sworks Seatpost tilt adjustment

So I got a used Sworks Tarmac that came with the OEM seatpost (one of the zertz ones). The bike is for my fiancee.... Im one just to put a Thomson seatpost on and never look back, but she wants this one for some reason.

Anyhow, Im having a problem figuring out how to adjust the tilt. I looked up the instructions on the specialized site:

https://cdn.specialized.com/OA_MEDIA/...uctions_r2.pdf

And the parts labeled "angled cup surfaces" appear to be what I want to pivot or adjust. I assume they shouldnt freely pivot, but am I supposed to pop them out, set the angle, and push them back in, greased? Possibly the previous owner didnt grease them and they are frozen in there? Best way to pop those inserts out? I was thinking a long hex key through the opposite side opening and punch the opposite side out....

Thanks in advance....

If you loosen up the center bolt the wedges should rotate in the sockets and when you tighten the bolt it wedges everything together. There is no angular adjustment they stay put by friction. If they are seized try using some penetrating oil, they should not be too hard to get out. I would spray it on there and set the seatpost on the workbench upside down so the oil doesn't run down the carbon post.

got it out. Just had to tap them out from the inside, as I couldnt really get any leverage to pull them out. They seem a little difficult to adjust the tilt while the saddle is on the bike, as just trying to push or pul the nose of the saddle ends up ppopping the rails out of the grooves rather than turning those cups.... and I did wipe down and grease the cups....

i still like my Thomson....

To adjust the angle, try pushing down on the middle of the saddle, not the front or rear.

Well, once they're in the right position, I guess the risk of slipping is pretty low...
