Seatpost installation
I got a specialized seatpost and I cannot figure out how to adjust the saddle angle. Everytime I stick it into my frame the saddle's nose is angled toward the sky.
Obviously unusable.
This is a two bolt pattern seatpost with the bolt at the back of the saddle pointing upward and a bolt at the front of the saddle pointing downward. I tried loosening the front bolt and tightening the back bolt to adjust the angle but no luck. I've tried just about everything with the two bolts I can think of and nothing works.
I bought this off someone who also brought it off someone ... I'm thinking he sold it because the post wasn't appropriate for his frame.
Is there such a thing as bike-specific seatposts? This one just doesn't seem like it'll want to work with the angles of my bike.

Never mind, I figured it out.
I've owned three different seatposts and each has a different saddle clamping mechanism!
If anyone else has trouble with the Specialized Pave seatpost with zertz insert - shoot me a PM and I can try to help ya out!

To lower the nose you loosen the rear bolt and tighten the front one. It sounds like you are doing just the opposite. Also, every two-bolt seat post I've ever seen has both bolts entering from the underside of the clamp with their heads on the bottom and the threaded end pointing up. It also sounds like yours was assembled incorrectly.

Good note about the bolt positions ... I'll have to Google some images. Last thing I need is for the saddle to slide off and a seatpost jammed in my chamois.
