duplicolor copper paint kit?

my first post!! i'm not too sure this belongs here, but anyway i'm repainting an old vintage frame and so far i've done everything by the book and i'm about ready to apply paint. i'll be using rattle cans with automotive rim paint since i'm too cheap for powder coating or spray guns. my question is has anyone used duplicor ck100 copper kit or know anything about it? the reason i'm not too sure about it is because it doesn't require a primer coat yet it claims to be durable enough for car rims.

When I use paint that claims to need no primer I use primer anyway. I've used their white wheel paint on a bike. It's acrylic enamel, so it's more durable than their lacquers. It takes forever to cure completely.

ya i'm planning on letting it cure for at least a month before i CAREFULLY reassemble the bike and probably another month or two before i ride it. this kit consists of a semi translucent copper base coat and a clear glossy Finnish. it says it is meant for painting over metallic surfaces to make them look copper. i'm worried if i did put a primer coat it would screw up the look... unless there are clear primers. hmmm
