Unknown Clicking Noise When Pedaling......

I seem to have a clicking noise every time I turn the pedals. I originally thought it was the seat post or saddle but took that off and the clicking continued. It is a GT ZUM hybrid about a year old. I am thinking it can only be the bottom bracket or the pedals? Any suggestions as to what this is? Could pedals go bad in 1 year?

My most common clicking noise has been frame pump sitting too low and getting hit by crank arm.

I had that just the other day after replacing my minipump (seat tube attachment) after cleaning the bike. I also have had a very similar ticking when the opposite crank arm ticks a FD cable that's cut a little too long.

It's best to ignore guesses or "this happened to me" examples, and instead approach the problem in a logical manner, Check the link I gave above. Clicking is very seldom the actual BB or pedals, usually is the pedal to crank arm, crank arm to spindle interfaces or chainwheel bolts. If you want more help here we need more info - conditions under which it happens (gear combos, high pedal pressure) and where in the rotation it occurs, as well as the type of sound (loud/soft, high/low pitch) etc.
