Dented frame, down tube - Advice?

Hi All,
There is a used and dented alloy 7005 Scott frame that I would like to buy. As you can see there are also xt cranckset, and shifters.
I'm not sure of buying it, but the price is quite low.
Did anyone have similar experience, and will the dent significantly affect the strength of frame?
Any advice is much appreciated, thanks.

quite a few frames (can't tell on that one) are dented on purpose at the factory, especially on the chainstays near the BB. IMO, a dent like that would rarely cause a problem. and that tube is, for the most part, under tension not compression (see slingshot frames).

MTB.. you going to treat it rough after you get it ? cheap enough to be, essentially, thrown in free for little more than the cost of the parts left on it?

Thanks for fast replay guys. Im kinda beginner in cycling. Well i suppose i wont jump off the clifs and ride over the rocks and rough roots at high speeds, but i would like it more Mtb and offroad bike, than classic smooth trails for speedsters and stuff.
As for the price, well its like the whole set price is like the price of used but well maintaned crankset, but i would like if i could use the frame and not just throw it away .
Hope you understood it, im not good in english neither.

Are you a metal recycler? as that frame looks like it's had a very hard life and not fit for much more.

Looks to be an ex-hire bike/frame, which will have been ridden by people who don't care about it, as it's not theirs, the crank / chainrings look heavily used as well. Not seeing any value in the frame/components as is, you need so much extra that cant see how you couldn't get far better value buying a complete bike / frame with clamp etc.

For the BB, that's disposable, it either works or doesn't, you don't 'maintain' them anymore. given that, they have no real value used. For what they cost, a new XT BB from the current range is around 385 CZK (Guessing you are from Czech Republic going from the decals on the bike)

I have a simple rule. I manage and/or live with problems but I don't buy into them

If you already own the bike, it's probably fine to ride. OTOH, you have no knowledge of how the dent happened, or whether it's an indicator of rough use, so there's no reason to buy in.

Ok guys, you have helpped me a bit. I was basicly concerned of the dent, but any information is welcome.
So i understood the dent isnt on such a problematic spot, and it can stand some preassure, enough to ride it on fire roads and offroad trails. So im probably going to buy it for 75€, i mean it may look rusty and roughly used, but after i clean it and put some decent parts i guess it should serve the purpose.

When you add up the cost of a well used frame and all the remaining components won't you be fairly close to the price of a new bike? Or a nice quality used bike?

Maybe, but isnt this the high end frame and xt components which i get here. While on the otger side the new ht mtb weighting 11 kg isnt so inexpensive deal
