From my experience Magura Storm rotor does not work well with my Shimano Deore brake because it causes a lot of vibration when the brakes are actuated more than just feathering pressure. I suspect the shape of the rotor caused the pad to repeatedly bite and release causing the vibration. You may have a similar experience.
My Hayes original rotor, as well as Shimano XT and Deore rotors, and Avid G2 have worked ok with my Deore brakes.
