my bike looks very blue in these photos, probably becuase of the camera phone, but it is a dark flat purple. You said you are going to be painting a haro frame right? which one? my last bike I had was a 2005 Haro Nyquist Pro. I replaced quite a bit as I went, but I never changed the frame. People hated on it big time, but that frame held up to everything I ever did to it. Wasnt a huge fan of the ISIS bottom bracket though. lol probably spent around 1500$ on it total and sold it for 26$ last week. Post some pics when you finish it.

damn guys. you have some nice bikes.
I have NEVER ridden a bmx before. I'm old (25) and I picked up this pile of absolute trash for 45 bucks.
as is:
The front wheel's untrue and the crank spindle's a little rounded so the left crankarm keeps working itself loose. aside from crappy brakes, the rest of the bike is heavy as hell and functional.
since i can't use them for anything, i took off the reflectors, chainguard, pegs and kickstand. that probably saved me a couple pounds actually, this department store crap is sooo heavy.
after adjusting the brakes and stripping some or most of the decals:
i'm pretty happy with it for a $45 beater... already taken it off some dirt jumps(actually got some very small air... so ****ing fun) and some pump section action at the i-5 collonade skills park. I am really not skilled enough at dirt riding to do much with it, but it's been great riding this thing around portland and seattle for the last few days.
if anyone has advice, please chime in-
if i can fix the crank problem with a ten dollar used crankset, i'm thinking that would be worth it... seriously i can't ride ten blocks or two passes of a set of jumps without the cranks working loose, no matter how tight i torque them down. i'm assuming the bike isn't worth putting much more than that into.
i'm also going to need to put a new inner tube in the back because my patches aren't holding after a flat today after hopping a curb with low pressure.
there's no point trying to convert to a 25 9 setup, i should just sell the bike and get a nicer bmx like a felt or something if i wanted to put any more than say twenty bucks into this bike, right?
it's fun as hell even as busted as it is.

My '99 Supercross. Parts on it are a mix ranging from the late 90s to current. My old Flite pads were faded and torn, so I got these are repops. I had to get them without logos, since Porkchop was out of the 90s style. I don't like the 80s Flite logo.
The seat is run high, because it's rare that I ride less than nine miles at a stretch. I'm not doing that, with my knees in my chest. These days, I mostly use it on MTB trails.

I find it funny every other person makes some excuse for their seat/post, but in all honesty who cares?

Hehe, I do pretty long distances and my seat is about an inch and a half high. I just don't sit while I ride. The only thing I've done to make that easier is to run 28x9 instead of 25x9.

Lurking around this section makes me want to ride my bmx bike so bad...
Might try taking it out tonight.
Frame: 2005 T1 barcode
Fork: Odyssey butted race fork (Grinded slots from 3/8" to 14mm)
Bars: Odyssey civilian svelte
Stem: Odyssey elementary
Headset: Solid (BEST headset ever)
Grips: Odi longnecks
Lever: Odyssey modulever
Brake: Cheap old tektro 907/908
Crank: Primo powerbite (With titanium spindle)
Sprocket: Odyssey vermont (28 tooth)
Pedals: Odyssey twisted pc (Plastic)
Chain: Shadow interlock
Seat: Shadow
Post: Premium (Aluminum and cut to about 1")
Clamp: Profile
Pegs: Odyssey jpeg light front and i think gi peg rear
Rear hub guard: Fbi
Front wheel: Cheap stock wheel (14mm axle, black everything)
Rear wheel: Old wethepeople cassette hub laced to a chrome sun rhynolite rim (14mm axle,10 tooth driver)
Front tire: 2.2" Primo dirt monster
Rear tire: Cheap cstbrand tire. Smooth tread but not slick...does the job since i wore my primo comet all the way to the tube
I think that about covers it. It's been years since i built it so i have forgotten some of the parts that are on it.. It could use a couple updates but i don't ride it much anymore
Edit: Updated pictures from yesterday
Might try taking it out tonight.

BikeMech, I like it a lot. It's a good mix between like midschool and new school stuff. The Barcode frame is legit.

My '98 Schwinn Pro Stock 3 Cruiser
I just pulled it down from the attic today, it's going to get a slight overhaul and modernization (new cranks and tires are on the way) A few years back I upgraded to some inexpensive sealed BB hubs. I'll paint/powder this winter.

Haven't posted a check in a while, and I finally got this painted. Got the frame from a friend and it's so much better than my tank of a GT frame. The cell phone pictures don't do the color any justice.
Frame: Haro
Bars: Odyssey Space
Stem: Fit
Grips: Shadow Dirtys
Forks: Stock GT
Headset: Integrated. idk.
Cranks: Profile 170mm
Sprocket: M3 28t (not pictured)
Back Wheel: Odyssey Haz V3 Purple Rain laced to Ody Haz Lite
Front Wheel: Stock GT
Pedals: Mosh
Chain: KMC 710-SL, it's about 5 years old and still running strong
Seat: Dyno (custom paint)
Seat Clamp: Fly
33/10 gear ratio sucks hardcore.
Brakes: Odyssey Evo II (gold)
Cable: Odyssey Linear
Lever: Odyssey Monolever
Waiting on brake mounts from my friend. Here's some cell phone pictures, I should have better pics soon.
Got a new sprocket today, but didn't get any pictures yet.

My Performer
I got this bike about two months ago. My uncle actually bought it in peices and custom painted it for me, but i need some ideas. Im lookin at it, and i keep thinking it doesnt look pro enough. Im thinkin:
Purple Shadow Conspiracy Ol' Dirty Grips
Purple Sputnic Whip Chain
Fly Bikes Zapatas Brake Pads?
Im startin off small, cause im young and broke...but i wanna get the stuff thatll make major improvements for a small price first...i plan for bigger things evantually, but tell me what you guys think.
