2014 Ride to Conquer Cancer
Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer®
It seams that everyone have been impacted by cancer in one-way or another. Maybe a friend or a loved one has had cancer or someone you know has a friend or loved one that has battled this horrible disease or is currently battling for a cure. Some won the fight, others have not I personally have been impacted. My Grandfather died of prostate cancer, my aunt had breast cancer, my nephew was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia. My nephew is currently active duty Air Force and is in remission. Also a friend on mine was diagnosed with leukemia and he is also in remission. What is inspiring is that my friend has ridden his bicycle across the USA after his diagnosis and chemo treatment to help raise money for cancer treatment and research.
I am venturing out of my comfort zone and asking you to donate to help find a cure and to give hope. When you donate please give me a name of someone that you know that has battled this disease. I plan on having a custom cycling jersey made and having the names on this jersey. I will ride for them to bring awareness to the public that we need to all join forces to find a cure. So please reach into your pocket and helps us fight and conquer cancer.
The Ride to Conquer Cancer® benefiting Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, Sibley Memorial and Suburban Hospitals, is a two-day cycling journey, through the scenic landscapes of Maryland, Virginia and DC. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
Contribute to this history-making event with a donation. Funds raised in The Ride to Conquer Cancer will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care made possible through Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, Sibley Memorial and Suburban Hospitals.
